Holywell-cum-Needingworth Parish Council

Parish Councils are the lowest tier of government in England. The next tier is District Councils and then County Councils.

The full Council meets on the first Tuesday of each month (except August) at Millfields, starting at 7.30pm. Other committees meet on the third Tuesday of the month. All meetings are open to the general public and there is a 10 minute public forum during the Full Council meetings.

The Council is responsible for the following:-

  • Overcote Lane playing fields, including the play area.
  • Defibrillators located outside of the Village Hall, the One Stop Shop. the Old Ferry Boat Holywell, St John the Baptist Church Holywell and Turnpike Close, Needingworth
  • Bleed Box located outside of the Village Hall
  • Millfields recreation ground, Mill Way.
  • Mill Way Cemetery.
  • Closed churchyard at St John the Baptist Church, Holywell.
  • Garden Plots, Mill Way.
  • Common land, Holywell Front.
  • Overcote Fen.
  • Streetlights with PC on the column.
  • Bus Shelter.
  • Some litter bins.
  • Maintaining Falklands Walk and Lowndes Drove.
  • War Memorial.
  • Planning consultee.
